Post-Acquisition SAP ERP & MES Integration - Lonza Capsugel

PMO Consultant on Lonza's post-acquisition SAP ERP & MES integration for the Capsugel pharmaceutical manufacturing division. On-site at Bornem manufacturing plant, bridging IT systems and production floor operations (IT/OT) in a GMP-regulated environment.

Post-acquisition integration (M&A):

• EMEA-wide rollout unifying 3 Capsugel manufacturing sites (Belgium, France, Russia) onto one SAP platform
• 14 SAP functional streams: FI, MM, SD, PP, QM, PM, WM, MES, PI/PO, PPDS, MDM, Security, ABAP, EDI/IDoc
• Master data harmonisation and business process unification across entities

Go-live cutover & hypercare:

• 72-hour continuous cutover weekend coordinating production system transition across 3 countries
• Dispatched and tracked hundreds of hypercare requests, maintaining SLA compliance through structured triage
• 3-tier support model (Key Users, IT/Business SMEs, Remote IT) with defined SLAs
• Status meetings 2x daily; coordinated transition to ServiceNow steady-state ITSM

IT/OT convergence & pharma compliance:

• SAP ERP integrated with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) on production floor
• Plant Maintenance, Quality Management and Production Planning modules interfacing with manufacturing processes
• Completed mandatory Lonza trainings: GMP Awareness, Data Integrity (ALCOA, 21 CFR Part 11), CSV1 & CSV2 (GAMP V-model)
